Remember that not every lipstick color will look good on you. Don’t just buy a color because it is in fashion. It won’t be fashionable if it does not match your skin tone. There are some women who can wear just about any lipstick color they pick up, but most of us can’t. If you are like me, you may not find anything that you like. It really depends on your skin tone and the color of your hair. If you don’t know, you may want to see what your mom wears because her skin tone and hair color may be very similar to your own.

The only lipstick color that looks remotely good on me is a deep plum, but I don’t like to wear that even. It seems to set off something in my face that I don’t like, even if it looks good otherwise. It’s like wearing yellow clothes. I love the color, but I cannot wear a yellow top because it brings out every blemish in my skin. A lipstick color can do the same thing. Certain shades can make your teeth appear yellow, and others will make you look pale and washed out. You may as well wear black lipstick and get it over with.

If you don’t know what lipstick color you should be wearing, you need to get some samples in all different colors and shades. This way you can try on different colors without paying big bucks for a lipstick color that won’t look good on you. You may as well just toss ten bucks into your trashcan. You can find samples everywhere, and if you don’t know where to look, try going into a department stores and talking to someone at the make up counter. Tell them that you cannot find the right lipstick color for your skin tone, and ask if they have samples that may help you choose.
